The MySMA Support team is available to answer your patients'
questions and provide product education, including how to take
Evrysdi. They can also help your patients understand their insurance
coverage and refer them to appropriate financial assistance options to
start and stay on Evrysdi.

Neurological Rare Disease Therapeutic Area Manager (NRD TAM)
The local, dedicated support resource for healthcare providers and their staff who answers questions about Genentech’s approved products and services.
A Neurological Rare Disease Therapeutic Area Manager can:
- Educate about the disease and provide information on
Genentech’s medicines and related support services to healthcare
providers and their staff
- Provide information about
the insurance approval and reimbursement process
- Connect healthcare providers with Accredo* representatives
*Accredo is the only specialty pharmacy that
prepares and ships Evrysdi directly to your patients each month.
Accredo Health Group, Inc., is an Express Scripts specialty
pharmacy. Accredo is not part of Genentech and maintains
independence in its operations as a specialty pharmacy and in its
role as a healthcare provider.
In-person and virtual support for patients
Partnership and Access Liaison (PAL)
The local, main point of contact from Genentech who supports people living with SMA. PALs are here to answer questions about Evrysdi and refer your patients to helpful resources. PALs can also help them understand their insurance and financial support options.
A PAL is not a part of the patient's medical team and is not a substitute for their healthcare provider. PALs do not provide medical advice. The patient's healthcare provider should always be the main resource for any questions about the patient's health and medical care.
A PAL can:
- Provide in-person or virtual support based on your patient’s
preference
- Answer questions on Evrysdi, including
how it works, how to take it, what results were seen in clinical
trials, and important safety information
- Explain
insurance coverage and potential financial support options
- Refer patients to helpful resources
Insurance and financial support
Case Managers (CM)
A Case Manager partners closely with PALs and healthcare providers to help people living with SMA understand the health insurance process and identify potential financial support options for Genentech’s approved products.
A Case Manager can:
- Facilitate the health insurance process to help your patients better understand their coverage for Evrysdi
- Identify
available financial support options
- Partner with Accredo to help with a smooth delivery of Evrysdi
